Windows Print Driver
This printer driver is used to capture print jobs from Windows applications. This print driver will direct the print job to the Reform solution in an electronic state. The Reform solution can then enhance the document and or deliver the document to different formats, devices and technologies. This printer driver helps users avoid altering the application to add more printing functionality and automation.
TCP Capture Agent Using Port 9100
The FabSoft capture agent will receive print jobs that are printed using the standard printing port 9100. Typically print drivers using 9100 for printing over TCP/IP. This capture agent will act like a normal printer the application printing will not realize that this is not a printer. Once the document is captured by the computer the document and be enhanced and delivered to many different types of devices, formats, and technologies. This agent runs as a true service.
LPD Capture Agent User Port 515
The FabSoft capture agent will receive print jobs that are printed using the standard printing protocol on port 515. Typically print drivers using 515 for printing over TCP/IP. This capture agent will act like a normal printer the application printing will not realize that this is not a printer. Once the document is captured by the computer the document is enhanced and delivered to many different types of devices, formats, and technologies. A non-windows operating system such as AS/400, Linux and Unix all use LPR/LPD over 515 for printing. This agent runs as a true service.
